Q: How do I replace the overpressure plug on my All American Pressure Canner?

A: Remove the lid from the canner. Press down on the old rubber overpressure plug with your finger from the top while pulling from the underside of the lid. The overpressure plug should pop out. Place the new plug at an angle on the underside of the lid and push gently until the entire diameter of the new plug is seen from the top, and the indentation is clearly visible on the underside of the lid.

Q: How do I know if my rubber overpressure plug is damaged?

A: If your overpressure plug on your All American canner is leaking a significant amount of steam when your canner is above 5 pounds of pressure, then it is time to remove the plug and examine it for signs of cracking or wear. It is normal for your overpressure plug to release small amounts of steam during the heating up process.

3. Returns that do not adhere to rules 1 and 2 MAY be given a partial refund depending on product condition and return timing.

4. Customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping. If your product has arrived damaged from Shipping or has a manufacturing defect, we may choose to provide a pre-paid return label or send a replacement item.
